Which of the ten elements are you?
Bazi reads the moment you were born. Find out which of the ten types you are, free, then unlock your full 20-page reading.
Your life, held up by four pillars
Bazi means "eight characters". The moment you were born is written as four pillars: your birth year, month, day and hour. Each pillar holds two characters, and each one describes a different part of your life.
Family background, early life, and how the wider world sees you.
The environment you grew up in, and how you work and build a career.
Your core nature, your type, and your closest relationships.
Your ideas and hopes, your children, and later life.
Your reading starts with the day pillar, which sets your type. Then it reads all eight characters together for your balance, your strengths and the themes of each decade. No birth time? Your reading uses the other three pillars, and you can add the fourth later, free.
What is Bazi?
Bazi (八字, "eight characters") is a Chinese tradition that describes your nature from the moment you were born.
Your birth year, month, day and hour each become a "pillar" of two characters: eight in all.
Read together, they describe your strengths, your rhythms and the themes of each decade of your life.
A reading that used to cost hundreds
Traditionally, a Bazi reading meant finding a master and paying hundreds of dollars for a consultation.
Most of a master's skill goes into two things: calculating your chart precisely, and knowing how to read it. Both take years to learn.
We have built that calculation into our own engine: true solar time for your birthplace, solar-term months, the Bazi new year, your ten-year cycles. And we have turned the classical way of reading a chart into a clear, thorough written reading.
That is how we can give you a full 20-page reading for a fraction of the traditional price.

Why our charts are accurate
Bazi uses the sun's time, not the clock. Someone born at 9:30 am in Singapore was born at 8:15 am by the sun, a different hour pillar. We correct for your birthplace, historical time zones, solar-term months and the Bazi new year on 4 February.
